My Favorite Type of Vacation is a Cruise
June 15, 2009 | Leave a Comment
I have traveled to many exotic and foreign places around the world. There are the typical vacation spots like the beautiful resorts in Hawaii and Cancun, to the adventurous destinations of Jerusalem and Egypt. Whether I have stayed in a luxury hotel, or a budget motel, if I think back to the vacations that were the best, my wife and I agree, that the most enjoyable and relaxing, the least hectic, the most memorable vacations are those that were on a cruise.
There are a lot of elements of a cruise that make it such an ideal vacation. The first is the amazing cost. If you compare apples to apples of what you get for your money on a cruise, you get a far better deal on a cruise. Those who have a limited budget can still travel with the best on a cruise.
I love good food. On a lot of vacations, meals end up being a burden in a couple ways. First, we are out of our element by being away from our kitchen and cannot make the meals we are used to as easily. Instead, the majority of our meals are usually a combination of sit down restaurants where we focus on the price of the menu item, instead of what we really would like to eat, and fast food restaurants. On a cruise, it is different. All of your meals are included. There is always a variety of options depending on what you are in the mood for. You can choose a formal dining experience or a buffet style where you choose your meal from a hot food display. If you would like seconds of Lobster, you would be silly not to ask for it. My wife and I enjoy trying native foods, so we do not eat every single meal on the cruise, but makes for such a great vacation to know that every meal is covered without any thought or effort.
